Christophe Béné is Senior Policy Advisor in the Decision and Policy Analysis Program at the International Center for Tropical Agriculture –one of the 16 centres of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research.
His past and current work focuses on issues related to poverty, vulnerability and food security. He was recently leading the team of High Level Panel of Experts commissioned by the Committee on World Food Security to produce the report on Sustainable Fisheries and Aquaculture for Food Security and Nutrition.
He has a PhD in Environment and Life Sciences from the University of Paris VI, a post-graduate Diploma in Development Economics from the School of Development Studies at the University of East Anglia (UK), and a Master degree in Marine Environmental Sciences from the University of Marseille (France).
