Alison Booth is Professor of Economics at The Australian National University, a Research Fellow of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR), London and of the IZA Bonn, and an ANU Public Policy Fellow.

Alison obtained her PhD from the London School of Economics in 1984. She is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences in Australia, and in 2012 became Research Fellow of the Institute for Employment Research (IAB), Nürnberg. In 2017 she was awarded the Distinguished Fellow Award of The Economic Society of Australia.
