Anne Poelina

Anne Poelina is an Indigenous woman from the Martuwarra, or Fitzroy River, and Professora and Co-Chair of Indigenous Studies at the University of Notre Dame’s Nulungu Institute. She is also Visiting Fellow at the Institute for Post-Colonial Studies and Crawford School of Public Policy.

Anne is a highly qualified academic with three Master degrees and a PhD. She also has two undergraduate awards and her PhD addresses the topic of Nyikina Indigenous Australian tradition and the importance of heritage and language to Nyikina people’s social, cultural, and economic wellbeing.
