Benedict Y Imbun

Dr Benedict Y Imbun is a senior lecturer in the School of Business, Western Sydney University.

He had studied and worked at the University of Papua New Guinea before his current appointment at the WSU. He teaches employment relations and published extensively on employment, labour and labour market, particularly pertaining to PNG and Pacific Islands Countries (PICs), in general. He has published three books and over thirty papers on the area.

Dr Imbun has also consulted extensively on development issues on PNG and other PICs in the areas of expertise in many sectors, such as the extractive industry, agriculture, education and migration. His clients have been development organisations, Governments and Business Organisations such as Australian AID, International Labour Organisation, World Bank, PNG Government and Oil Search Ltd.

He is currently the Policy and Employability Expert on a European Union funded technical vocational and education training (TVET) project with the PNG Education Department.
