Bharati Sekar is a Master in Public Policy student at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at the National University of Singapore.

She is a lawyer who has worked at the Namma Bengaluru Foundation in India. During her stint at the foundation, she assisted in filing public interest litigation related to urban governance, decentralisation, and corruption in urban local bodies in Bangalore.

She was a Legislative Research Assistant for an Indian Parliamentarian in the Upper House, and worked extensively on indigenous rights issues in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Her interests include urban water governance and community organisation in informal settlements in India. Being based in ‘the little red dot’ (Singapore) allows her to travel extensively in the ASEAN region, and make the most of the generous vacations at school.
