Dr Bianca Calabria is a Research Fellow at the Research School of Population Health at The Australian National University and a Conjoint Lecturer at the National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre at University of New South Wales. She also works as a psychologist, with people who have experienced trauma, particularly survivors of domestic violence.

Bianca is experienced in integrating epidemiological and intervention evaluation research to improve health outcomes among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. She has established and maintained partnerships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, communities and health care services. She has a strong focus on rigorous real-world research and building capacity in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health settings: she led an evaluation training program for Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Care Service staff and contributes to supervision and mentorship of postgraduate students. Bianca’s research has focused on the areas of drug and alcohol, wellbeing, community safety, and cardiovascular disease.
