Brody Hannan is studying science communication and policy as part of the Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Policy Studies program at the Australian National University. His fields of interests include higher education policy, the sociology of education and STEM education policy.
He has been a Science Policy intern for the Department of Industry, Innovation and Science, and has worked in policy research for the Australian Research Council, Energy Change Institute and Climate Change Institute. His research with Australian National Centre for the Public Awareness of Science explored the relationship between scientists in academia and industry. In 2015 Brody also served as the Chief of Counsellors of the London International Youth Science Forum.
In 2015 he was awarded a Tuckwell Scholarship, and is currently a Science Student Ambassador for the Australian National University.
