Byung-Seong Min is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business Strategy and Innovation within the Griffith Business School. Byung is an expert in the field of Asian/International business in relation to Korea, Japan, Taiwan and Australia, based on his work experiences and research publications. He has held the position of Program Director for Bachelor of International Business, and Bachelor of Asian Business (Honours), and Higher Degree Research Convener. Byung is also a member of the Griffith Asia Institute and Griffith Centre for Sustainable Enterprise.
Following work experiences with the Korea Development Institute and the Korea Environment Institute as research fellow, Byung joined Monash University in 1997 as a lecturer in Economics. He ranked in the top position at the entrance examination of the Hanyang University (Business Faculty), which is one of the top five universities in Korea and graduated with Distinction (First Class Honours). With a scholarship from the Australian Government (DFAT) he obtained his PhD in 1995 at the Australian National University.
His research covers corporate governance, sustainability, trade and investments focusing on Korea, Australia, Taiwan and Japan. His articles are published by Journal of World Business, International Journal of Production Economics, Journal of Business Ethics, Journal of Cleaner Production, Economic Modelling, Applied Economics, International Review of Finance and Pacific Basin Finance Journal, and Higher Education.
