Professor Damien Kingsbury holds a Personal Chair in International Politics and is the Director, Masters of International and Community Development, in the
School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Deakin University, Australia.

His research interests include South-East Asian/Indonesia/East Timor/Sri Lanka Politics, Political Development, the role of the military in politics, security and terrorism, post-colonial political structures and nation formation, assertions of self-determination, and civil and political rights.
