Dr Eeqbal Hassim is a sought after intercultural educator, with a background in languages and education history and philosophy. He is currently Senior Manager (Research), at the Asia Education Foundation, The University of Melbourne. He has worked closely with the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) on the Australian Curriculum general capabilities and cross-curriculum priorities. Eeqbal has consulting expertise in curriculum, education resource development and teacher and school leader professional learning. As an academic, he has worked as a Lecturer and Research Fellow at The University of Melbourne (Asia Institute and Asian Law Centre). He has also been a Research Fellow at the Australian Catholic University (School of Education).
