Fiona McKenzie is an Honorary Associate at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, La Trobe University. She is also Policy Director at the Australian Futures Project.
Fiona has a background in agricultural and environmental policy, with a PhD on farmer-driven innovation in Australian agriculture. Fiona is committed to finding sustainable solutions built upon the innovative capacity of individuals and groups across diverse networks and systems – from local to global scales.
She has applied this approach in her work with the United Nations Environment Programme on cross-sectoral collaboration in the global food system, and in her role as a Research Associate at the University of Sydney.
Previously, she was part of teams that established the Wentworth Group of Concerned Scientists (in Australia) and the Terrestrial Carbon Group (internationally).
