Georgina Heydon

Dr Georgina Heydon is a Senior Lecturer in the School of Global, Urban and Social Studies at RMIT University, and co-convenor of GeVARA: the Gendered Violence and Abuse Research Alliance. Dr Heydon is an expert in forensic linguistics and police interviewing, with publications including her book The Language of Police Interviewing, and most recently an article in the international journal Policing & Society, “Written Response Interviewing Protocols: An Innovative Approach to Confidential Reporting and Victim Interviewing in Sexual Assault Investigations”. Dr Heydon’s current research has explored issues in langauge and translation in response to domestic violence in culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) communities.
