Helmut Reisen is an Economics Professor Emeritus at Basel University and Fellow at the German Development Institute. He analyses emerging country economics and international monetary economics.

The long-time Head of Research of the OECD Development Centre, he now runs Berlin-based ShiftingWealth Consult (www.shiftingwealth.com), which produces research for evidence-based policy dialogue.
