Julia Talbot-Jones is a PhD candidate at the Crawford School of Public Policy, ANU, currently investigating the economic and behavioural impacts of giving nature legal standing. She is exploring how different institutional arrangements influence collective action with a view to understanding how granting rights to nature may impact people’s choices and preferences towards public good provision.
In 2014, Julia was a visiting scholar at The Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop for Political Theory and Policy Analysis, Indiana University, as a recipient of a Pan-Asia Fellowship.
A former (NZ-USA) Fulbright scholar, she has an academic background in economics, ecology, and natural resource management.
