Karen Piper is a Professor of English and Geography at the University of Missouri.
She has written two book on water security issues, The Price of Thirst and Left in the Dust, and numerous articles, including “Turning on the Fantasy Fountain”, “Revolution of the Thirsty”, and “Dreams, Dust, and Birds.”
Her work has been featured in Salon, Newsweek, Los Angeles Times, Huffington Post, and The Majority Show, and she has received numerous awards.
