Kaushik Bhattacharya is currently a Professor of Economics at the Indian Institute of Management Lucknow.

Professor Bhattacharya received his PhD from the Indian Statistical Institute and his post-doc from the University of Bonn. He has previously worked in statistics and monetary policy departments of the Reserve Bank of India. He has also been a visiting research fellow at the Bank for International Settlements and a recipient of DAAD fellowship.

Dr Bhattacharya has worked on different types of applied econometric problems on monetary policy and central banking. One of his special areas of interest is currency in circulation.
