Kent is a policy specialist with academic training in politics and professional experience in economics. He has previously worked for/in the public sector and foreign government-affiliated institutions in South Korea, US, Japan, the Nordic region, and Europe.

He was awarded a special recognition by the US House of Representatives in 2015 and a recipient of Australia Awards under the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Commonwealth Government of Australia in 2017.

He is currently a postgraduate scholar from the Department of Political Science, University of the Philippines- Diliman and Crawford School of Public Policy, Australian National University.
