Dr Kevin Carrico is Senior Lecturer in Chinese Studies at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. He is the author of The Great Han: Race, Nationalism, and Tradition in China Today (University of California Press) and the translator of Tsering Woeser’s Tibet on Fire (Verso).

Dr Carrico is currently an Australia Research Council Discovery Early Career Research Fellow, researching the political and cultural manifestations of tensions between Hong Kong and the People’s Republic of China.
