Kira is a Program Coordinator at the Australia Pacific Security College at ANU Crawford School of Public Policy, and has a background in social justice and international development. Kira has worked extensively across South Asia, primarily with urban communities living in informal settlements. She is passionate about social resilience and how to strengthen and rebuild this following community experiences of upheaval, violence, and trauma.
Kira has a Master International Development (University of New South Wales) and a Bachelor of Psychological Science (University of New England). Her professional experience working across the public service, universities system, and the NGO sector as a qualitative researcher, practitioner, lecturer, and policy advisor offers her a comprehensive understanding of the theoretical and practical challenges facing vulnerable and marginalised communities.
