In addition to working with Knowledge Lab, an emerging blog on international development and environmental governance as an associate editor, Mr Kushal Pokharel is also currently engaged in the faculty of contemporary politics and research methodology under the BA liberal arts program at Purbanchal University, Nepal.

He has produced more than 60 op-ed articles in the Rising Nepal, the first english national daily of Nepal. His research interest span natural resource governance, public policy, sociology and development studies. He is also associated with South Asia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) and Forest Action (FA) as independent researcher and copy-editor.
