Dr Kylie Bourne is a Philosopher and Research Associate at the Centre for Applied Philosophy and Public Ethics, Charles Sturt University.
Her research interests include human rights, political rights, protest crowds, and collective moral responsibility. Dr Bourne has published on use of force by police and other governmental authorities and on the policing of peaceful protest crowds in Western democracies.
She has worked in aid and development policy at the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and at AusAID. Previously, Dr Bourne worked in the academic sector teaching philosophy and applied ethics. She has also worked in business improvement, cultural development and arts administration.
