Laura Davy

Dr Laura Davy is a Lecturer in the Department of Policy and Governance at The Australian National University (ANU) Crawford School of Public Policy. She has a background in political theory, sociology and social policy research.

Her current research focuses on the implementation and outcomes of the National Disability Insurance Scheme and the ongoing impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on the disability and aged care sectors. She is particularly interested in human rights informed approaches to policy design and implementation.

Prior to this role, Laura held a joint appointment as a Research Fellow at the Australia and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) and Crawford School. Before moving to the ANU, Laura held a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the Public Service Research Group at UNSW Canberra, and she worked as a researcher at both the Social Policy Research Centre and the City Futures Research Centre at UNSW Sydney.
