Laura Schwartz

Laura Schwartz is a Project Manager in Trade, Economic, and Energy Affairs at The National Bureau of Asian Research.

Ms Schwartz coordinates logistics, publications, and research for multiple projects, including the Pacific Energy Summit, Pacific Energy Forum, and Energy Security Program. Ms Schwartz also performs as a folk musician in a number of musical ensembles in Washington, DC.

Ms Schwartz was previously an Independent Contractor and Media Monitoring Analyst at the Rendon Group, a strategic communications firm. Ms Schwartz has worked in Global Policy Programs at the Asia Society and in the Office of the Ombudsman at National Public Radio.

Ms Schwartz holds a BA in Government with a minor in East Asian Studies from Cornell University. Immediately after graduation, she completed a Critical Language Scholarship in Xi’an, China.

Her research interests include Chinese state and society relations as well as China’s developing role in the Asia-Pacific.
