Lea Hunter recently finished her undergraduate degree at the University of Utah, where she graduated with an Honors degree in Sociology. Her research there focused on gender inequalities in public policy.
She presented her thesis, “The Tampon Tax: an examination of public discourse surrounding policies concerning menstrual taboo” at undergraduate conferences, and it was published in the Hinckley Journal of Politics. Lea is now living in Washington, D.C. where she works on Capitol Hill and is pursuing a career in legislative work.
