Mr Lukas Davis is a doctoral student at the Melbourne School of Design, The University of Melbourne. His PhD dissertation contends with the mobilisation of urban resilience theory in public policy as governments and municipalities progressively seek to increase their capacity to be resilient in the face of ongoing and evolving security threats.
He has previously published academic work assessing how Australian disaster management policies and strategic plans incorporate and foster resilience. He has also provided commentary to several other online publications.
Alongside his PhD degree, he works as a private consultant in the development industry. His research interests span across public policy, resilience studies, governance, planning, security and counter-terrorism.
