Marie Widengård is a researcher at the School of Global Studies, Gothenburg University, Sweden.
Marie has been conducting research in Sweden, the European Union, and Africa on natural resource politics since 2009. Her recent projects, Just Fossil-free Fuels: Can We Equitably Manage Niofuels? and Governing the Bioeconomy Transitions: Actors, Values and Trade-offs explore the framing and scaling of a just Swedish low-carbon transition.
Marie’s research interests are the broad area of environmental social science, with a particular focus on political ecology, science and technology studies, and feminist perspectives.
