Markus Lederer is a Professor of Political Science with a focus on International Relations at the Technical University Darmstadt in Germany.

His research focuses on global climate politics and green transformations in the global South. His most recent publications have appeared in Global Affairs, Regulation & Governance, Environmental Politics, Ecological Economics and Cambridge Review of International Affairs.

Before coming to Darmstadt, he taught at Universities in Münster, Potsdam, as well as in Bremen and conducted research at the LSE, Columbia University and at the Universidad de Costa Rica. He holds a PhD from the University of Munich.
