Mary Moran

Dr Mary Moran has over 25 years’ experience in health policy and practice, including 15 years specialising in the area of neglected disease R&D. She is Executive Director of Policy Cures, an independent research group founded at London School of Economics in 2004, and now based in Sydney.  Policy Cures provides evidence-based neglected disease R&D expertise and analysis to a wide range of organisations including the World Health Organisation (WHO), Gates Foundation, World Bank, Wellcome Trust and GAVI.

Prior to forming Policy Cures, Mary was an Emergency Medicine doctor and a diplomat with the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs & Trade. Mary is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the LSHTM, and an expert adviser on neglected disease R&D to the WHO, European Commission, European and Developing Countries Clinical Trials Partnership, Wellcome Trust, GAVI and Austrade.
