Matthew Dornan

Matthew Dornan has been a research fellow at the Development Policy Centre in Crawford School of Public Policy at The Australian National University since December 2011.

In his work at the Centre, he examines aid flows and regional integration issues in the Pacific islands, as well as continuing his research into energy and broader infrastructure challenges facing the Pacific island region.

Matthew’s PhD was on rural electrification and the use of renewable technologies to mitigate vulnerability to oil price increases in Fiji. He previously worked in Fiji, Nauru, Kiribati and Tuvalu as part of an Australian technical assistance program, and later worked on climate change adaptation in the Pacific for AusAID. Matthew has consulted for various development partners in the region.
