Muhamad Arif is Researcher at The Habibie Center’s ASEAN Studies Program. He obtained his MSc in Strategic Studies from the S Rajaratnam School of International Studies (RSIS), Singapore. His Bachelor degree was awarded by the Department of International Relations, University of Indonesia.
He is a Lecturer at the University of Indonesia, co-teaching courses of Revolution in Military Affairs, International Security Institutions, and Indonesian Defense Strategy. Arif was a Program Officer for Defense and Security Studies at PACIVIS-Center for Global Civil Society Studies and Graduate Student Research Assistant at the RSIS’ Malaysia Programme.
His research interests include International Relations Theories, International Security and Defense Studies, Foreign Policy-Making and Indonesian Civil-Military Relations. Arif regularly shares his thoughts on these issues on national TVs and newspapers as well as workshops and seminars.
