Dr Olga Krasnyak is a researcher in diplomatic studies at Underwood International College, Yonsei Univesity, where she teaches a number of courses majoring in international studies. She is the author of National styles in science, diplomacy, and science diplomacy (Leiden, Boston: Brill 2018).
Her primary area of research specialisation is foreign policy and inter-state relations between imperial powers of Great Britain and the Russian Empire over Persia (Iran) during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Her secondary area of specialisation is diplomatic studies with a focus on public, cultural and science diplomacy.
She received a PhD in History in 2004, and after 5 years of teaching experience at a university in Moscow, moved to Korea. She is currently in her fifth year of teaching and research since returning to academia.
