Pablo Figueroa is an assistant professor in the Center for International Education at Waseda University. A cultural anthropologist specializing in Japanese Studies, Pablo is involved in projects dealing with the internationalization of Japanese education and global leadership.
Since 2011, Pablo has been researching risk communication, citizen participation, nuclear and health governance, and cultural representations of 3/11. His latest publication is ‘Subversion and Nostalgia in Art Photography of the Fukushima Disaster’, a book chapter in Fukushima and the Arts: Negotiating Nuclear Disaster (Routledge 2016).
