Pawan Amin is currently pursuing M.Phil in China Studies Program from the East Asian Studies Department of School of International Studies, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He has completed Masters in Geopolitics and International Relations from Manipal University.

His dissertation studied the politics of foreign aid in Mainland Southeast Asia. He was an intern at the Centre for Air Power Studies, New Delhi. He also worked as an analyst in the Risk Advisory Services with Ernst and Young, India.
