Raghbendra Jha is Emeritus Professor of Economics in the Arndt-Corden Department of Economics at The Australian National University (ANU) Crawford School of Public Policy.

He is Fellow of the World Innovation Foundation and specialises in development economics, macroeconomics, and public economics.

Professor Jha is also on editorial boards of major economics journals and has consulted widely for organisations including the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank.

He has published extensively with leading publishers in key areas of economics, and his current areas of research interest include food security, the economic and social history of India, and fiscal federalism in India.
