Rebecca Hingley

A postgraduate student of the Coral Bell School of Asia Pacific Affairs at the Australian National University, Rebecca will graduate with her Master of International Affairs in 2016.

Throughout her academic career, both undergraduate and postgraduate, Rebecca has researched and commented on Antarctic Geopolitics – with work on the Antarctic Treaty System, the health and operation of international norms within the Antarctic region, and more recently Antarctic philosophies.

In August this year Rebecca was invited to participate within a ‘Pathways To Antarctica’ Symposium at the University of Wollongong organised by the ECO Antarctic network; an interdisciplinary project working to create a more sophisticated understanding of the continent.

Rebecca is currently pursuing the possibility of a Doctor of Philosophy in Antarctic Geopolitics.
