Remy Mahzam

Remy Mahzam is an Associate Research Fellow at the International Centre for Political Violence & Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) in the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.

Remy graduated with a Master of Science from Wee Kim Wee School of Communication and Information, Nanyang Technological University. He also holds a Bachelors of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Heritage from the International Islamic University Malaysia and Multimedia Design from the University of Huddersfield, UK.

His research interests include cyberterrorism, online radicalization, social media analytics, inter-religious relations and political Islam. As a member of the Informatics and the Middle East & North Africa desk at ICPVTR, Remy monitors cyber radicalism and extremist websites and translates and analyses extremist contents and developments.

Remy is an Adobe Certified Associate in Print & Digital Media Publication as well as Graphic Design and holds an Asatizah Recognition Scheme certification awarded by the Asatizah Recognition Board and Islamic Religious Council of Singapore.
