Robert Field

Robert Field is a Columbia University Associate Research Scientist based at the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies.

He works with the GISS climate model, specialising in the water cycle, and the cause, fate, and effects of emissions from biomass burning.

From 2000-2004, he was part of a joint project between the governments of Indonesia, Malaysia and Canada to develop fire danger rating systems in the region.

He has a PhD in atmospheric physics from the University of Toronto.
