Sara Itagaki is a Project Associate for Trade, Economic, and Energy Affairs at The National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR).
Ms Itagaki provides project development and research support for projects, including the Pacific Energy Summit, the Energy Security Program, and the Globalization of China’s Life Science Sector. She has authored articles on trade relations and climate diplomacy across the Asia-Pacific for NBR.
She is currently pursuing an MA in Asian Studies from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service. She is a Huffington Graduate Fellow with the Institute for the Study of Diplomacy for her research on “The U.S.-China Climate Agreement and Its Implications for Global Climate Diplomacy.”
Prior to joining NBR, Ms Itagaki worked on immigration rights and international disability rights for various advocacy organisations in Seattle, WA. She holds a BA in International Studies and Philosophy from Seattle University.
