Sara Mahmood is a Senior Analyst with the International Centre for Political Violence & Terrorism Research (ICPVTR) at the S. Rajaratnam School of International Studies in Singapore.

She is also the Editor-in-Chief of Counter Terrorism Trends and Analyses, ICPVTR’s monthly magazine, which focuses on emerging developments in terrorism and counter-terrorism. Her research interests include gender and security issues, including the role of women in terrorism.

Sara Mahmood has also worked on terrorism, insurgency and political violence in Pakistan. She has a Masters in International Relations and Terrorism Studies from the Nanyang Technological University in Singapore.
