Sophie Trevitt

Sophie Trevitt is a Solicitor at Canberra Community Law. She was climate campaigner for former Greens leader Christine Milne and was previously a media adviser for the Australian Youth Climate Coalition. She has attended United Nations climate conferences in Cancun, Qatar, and Paris and is committed to working with community groups, business and government for strong action on climate change.

Sophie is also the author of Homeward Bound – Social Security and Homelessness – a major research project of the National Social Security Network and Canberra Community Law funded by the Australian Institute of Administrative Law. It examines the experiences people seeking legal assistance from Canberra Community Law on their Centrelink payments and examines the effect of Centrelink on their housing security.
