Dr Terry Russell is an international aid practitioner, working in the fields of rural development and post disaster recovery.
He spent eighteen years in Indonesia and East Timor, working with the UN and several international aid agencies. He experienced close-up the Asian Financial Crisis of 1997-1998, the reconstruction of East Timor and Aceh, the massive expansion of palm oil plantations and the transition of Indonesia and East Timor to democracies. In 2015, Terry returned to Australia to design monitoring and evaluation systems for international development.
