Dr Tim Graham is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Australian National University, with a joint appointment in sociology and computer science. Broadly, his research combines social theory and computationally intensive approaches to analysing, understanding and predicting social phenomena.
He has recently studied the shape and nature of government on the web through analysis of large-scale hyperlink networks. His recent research examines: how social bots influence public discourse on Twitter; the structure and dynamics of the anti-vaccination movement online; machine learning for predicting violent crime; and developing new theoretically attuned methods for social network analysis.
