Xiao Tan is Research Fellow at the Centre for Contemporary Chinese Studies at University of Melbourne, where her research focuses on health policy, public finance, gender, and China’s global engagement.

Xiao received her PhD from the Asia Institute at the University of Melbourne in 2019. She has a Masters in China Development Studies and a Masters of Economics from the University of Hong Kong.
