Doing that, is in my view, very consistent with the idea of looking for positive possibilities for change we have proposed in our ‘addicted to growth’ article. Of course, we also need to watch closely for signs that a dialectic shift is actually being catalysed, rather than establishing a new normal that is horrific. While it is beyond me to step into the shoes of Trump, except in a way that sees him as childish, I think it is also critical to step into the shoes of the people who voted as many people are seeking to do and as you do in this article.
