Regulators invariably confront society’s most challenging tasks and need to respond in the face of competing demands and interests. What makes a regulator excellent at its work?
In this seminar, Cory Coglianese will begin by defining and explicating the attributes of regulatory excellence, and will then focus on what it takes for a regulatory organization to achieve excellence.
He will offer a framework for deploying regulatory strategies and will address the role for performance measurement in improving regulatory quality.
The seminar draws on a recent international study of regulatory excellence completed at the Penn Program on Regulation.
