The UN Paris climate change agreement and the acceptance of Sustainable Development Initiatives by the United Nations in 2015 place an absolute priority on risk-based and scientifically informed decision-making in the world and Australasia. Such decision-making must connect policy priorities to an expert knowledge base and an understanding of bio-physical and socio-economic systems in Australia, the region and globally.
This Symposium features members of The Economics and Science Group, experts in their fields from around the globe, followed by the Chief Scientists’ Roundtable facilitated by Professor Quentin Grafton.
