ANU Crawford School of Public Policy

Impact, influence and image in the public sector (A leadership initiative for professional women)

One-day short course

31st October 2017

ANU Crawford School of Public Policy

This program is designed especially for high-potential, professional women who aspire to be exemplary leaders.

Course overview

i-Cubed is run over 1 day and built around 3 complementary constructs:

Impact: There is no more important skill in attaining success – personal and professional – than our ability to communicate effectively and with impact. Communication is not just about the WHAT it’s ALL about the HOW.

Influence: This is a key leadership skill. We work with and through other people as a leader and we need to be able to influence in order to succeed. There is a specific psychology and neurology of influence that we can learn which will make us more effective.

Image: Our personal branding and how others perceive us contributes to our success as a leader. Perception is everything, so learning to manage it is essential.

The program incorporates blended learning strategies to ensure the women that attend have the opportunity to maximise their learning. If your organisation adopts the 70/20/10 principles of development, participants will be given a tool kit that they can use to continue the learning back in their workplace.

The structure of the program optimises learning outcomes so that successful strategies can be taken and used immediately back in the workplace.
