Do you want policymakers to take more notice of your research?

The 2015 Knowledge Translation and Exchange Short Course presented by the Deeble Institute, the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association and the University of Western Australia’s School of Population Health is designed to assist academic researchers in making their work more accessible and useful to policymakers and the media.

This three day course will teach you to write for policymakers, practitioners and consumers, convey complex ideas to non-academic audiences, and communicate with new and traditional media. You will learn how to communicate your research to have a lasting impact on policy development and to generate evidence-based outcomes.

Combining theory with a strong practical focus, participants will receive training on the fundamentals of writing for policymakers and communicating in the mainstream media. They will also have the opportunity to enhance these skills in small groups, applying the theory presented to their own research projects.
