This workshop will cover a range of examples of practical enablers proven to lead to system-wide improvements, with the opportunity to compare and contrast approaches in different countries and in different contexts.

What makes a good health leader?
Nigel Edwards is the Chief Executive Officer of NHS Nuffield Trust, UK. He is currently involved in the development of health care systems and policy in Europe.
The role of collaboration in health systems improvement
Helen Sullivan is the Director of the Crawford School of Public Policy. She is a public policy researcher, teacher and advisor.
Implementation across boundaries: trials and tribulations of implementing national standards of clinical care in a federation
Imogen Mitchell is the Director of the ANU Medical School, Senior Medical Advisor at the Australian Commission of Safety and Quality in Health Care and Senior Intensive Care Specialist at the Canberra Hospital.
Associate Professor Paul Dugdale, the Director of Medical Services, Canberra Health Services will be the Master of Ceremonies for this event.
This workshop is sponsored by the ANU College of Health and Medicine and the ANU Crawford School of Public Policy. Lunch will be provided before the workshop at 1.30pm and drinks to follow from 4.30pm to 5pm.
