Event overview

With the cyclical nature of commodity markets and prices causing challenges for many WA mining projects and producers have shifted their focus to improving efficiencies and productivity to reduce the bottom line and boost competiveness. How are projects under construction such as Roy Hill and INPEX’s Ichthys adjusting to the new market conditions versus established miners like BHP?

More importantly, with no further Greenfields projects planned beyond the current wave, how can we make WA more attractive to international investors to future-proof the state’s resources sector?

Meanwhile, the gold and the uranium sectors show signs of great potential. What are the predictions for the immediate future of these two commodities and could their growth offset the troughs being experienced by other sectors.
